Tubes for Aqua Grader
December 2009 – Steel tubes are used for the manufacture of high-grade and innovative washing and grading machines for the agricultural sector and the recycling industry. De Boer Staal has been supplying 508 mm steel tubes for the "Aqua Grader" for many years. This is the Rolls Royce of graders for lily bulbs. The longitudinally welded steel tubes are cut to size and powder coated. De Boer Staal also supplies the accompanying bends and welding flanges.
Van Dijke Zeeland from Sint-Philipsland designs, develops and produces high-grade, innovative machines for the agricultural sector and the recycling industry. Van Dijke is the market leader in washing units for the flower-bulb sector. Initially, the link between Van Dijke and wholesale trading in steel tubes in Uitgeest is not obvious. But appearances are deceptive! Van Dijke has been buying 508 mm steel tubes from De Boer Staal for many years, using them to manufacture the Aqua Grader and other washing and grading machines.
Environmentally friendly
The Aqua Grader is the grader for lily bulbs. The lily bulbs are washed, the roots are cut and the lilies are separated into saleable bulbs, planting material and residual root material. The water used for washing is collected and removed. This environmentally friendly machine can peel and grade flower bulbs using less time and less manpower. Depending on the type of lily, the capacity of the Aqua Grader is 1 to 1.5 hectares per working day.
